Just drove this back 3-4mi to the office from the vinyl graphics place. No idea what people were doing behind me, but I was highly amused by the dozen or so (by my count) lingering looks from oncoming traffic passing by me. A middle-age guy leaned out his pickup window, a guy in a beat up mid-90s Cavalier gave me a wave, and a guy in VW Bus gave me an enthusiastic, fist-pumping, thumbs- UP out his window. Vans unite! (lol)
I’d say it is a qualified success for getting attention with this little van.

I like those little vans. It looks like the wrap went on nicely.

Fingers crossed...
Worst case he wants me to take them off and reimburse the company for the extra cost incurred.
Would still be totally worth it.

I he doesn’t like it. Tell him to take it out for a drive and look at peoples reactions to it. Then if he still doesn’t like it, flick him on the nose and tell him it’s from me for being ridiculous.

Not gonna lie, that dresses it up a lot. Looks pretty freakin mean.

Yeah, I still almost can’t believe they grafted the family face on it as well as they did. The rest of it looks pretty pedestrian just because the form really had to follow the function in this case, but it is the best-looking, best driving of the small ‘city vans’ in my opinion.

My work has the massive full size transit, and honestly for what it is it drives well

This empty Connect drives like a taller, heavier Focus. Kinda like an Odyssey drives more like a big Accord than a small van.

Thanks, $kay!
Maiden voyage at 6am this morning.
A little 125mi road trip to deliver $130k worth of survey equipment to a customer. Two overturned vehicle accidents on I-35. 25.5mpg after driving at speeds from stop-and-go to 80mph, but mostly with the cruise control set around 73mph.
I like this little van for what it is, more car than van.
The two speaker stereo sucks, tho. (lol)

That is an awesome pic - FoMoCo needs to pick up on that. That whole idea, a work a day truck showing just a bit of it’s track genes, has marketing potential.

Totally agree. Stripe all the vans!
Blue on white. Silver on red. White on black. Black on silver. Red on white. White on red.
Make it so, Ford.
Now I want to see M-Sport build a SWB Transit Connect for Rally GB Wales and a LWB Transit Connect for the BTCC!

I plan on buying a new Taurus SHO next year. But damn, if I could get this with a manual transmission, it would be a contender for my next new car!

Manual would be cool. So would this beautifully insane idea...

I would rock that.

True to form, the stripes are Ford Mustang inspired. I was hoping you didn’t go the Chevy inspired stripes. The side graphics have been toned down..

Now we need to find you a set of wheels.. unless you’re not liking those stock hubcaps..

The Transit Connect was not our first option as a primary vehicle. Our concern was comfort mainly the seats. Here a test.. try to sit in a car of equal size and I promise you you wont be as comfortable as you would sitting in the Connect. One would have to move up into the larger van or truck to reach this level of comfort. (seat wise)

Naw, just down the front as Briggs Cunningham and Peter Brock intended.
There’s a Shelby-derived rocker panel stripes, but the rest of the graphics are strictly business.

Trying not to spend my $$ on the company vehicle, lol.
Though I have considered PlastiDip-ing the wheel covers to a dark bronze.

If the company needs a second set of wheels and tires, we still have the stock 015 steels w/ Continental tires. Not sure who we would get them to your location.. They’ve been for sale since April 015..

Thanks for the offer, but there’s no need for a second or seasonal set of tires in Central Texas.
